Role Description The Embedded Systems Engineer with a strong emphasis on instrumentation will work on the design, development, and integration of embedded hardware and software for scientific instruments and educational tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing embedded software, designing electronic circuits and interfaces, implementing sensor and data acquisition systems, and integrating devices into Internet of Things (IoT) environments where applicable. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and validate instrumentation, documenting designs and procedures, and supporting manufacturing and end-user training. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Lahore District, requiring close coordination with engineering, production, and academic partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in scientific instrumentation, educational technology, or industrial automation is an advantage.
  • Strong embedded systems background, including Embedded Software and Software Development skills for real-time and instrumentation-focused applications.
  • Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electronics, including circuit design, sensor interfacing, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) concepts, device connectivity, and basic networking for instrument monitoring and control.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, embedded development tools, test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters), and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to read and produce technical documentation, schematics, and firmware specifications with clear communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a lab and workshop environment, including prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and to support training or technical guidance for end users.
