PhysHall

PhysHall is a compact, analog Hall-effect sensor with a high-sensitivity GaAs probe, ideal for magnetic field mapping, Faraday’s Law experiments, and measuring fields from coils or the Earth, with PhysLogger support.

PhysHall is a compact sensor that utilizes the Hall effect and a GaAs sensor at the tip of its probe to accurately detect and measure a magnetic field. The high sensitivity, low-cost, and versatility make PhysHall the ideal instrument for all magnetism measurements. Your own Gaussmeter in a shoestring budget!

This analog PhysInstrument features a high-sensitivity GaAs sensor, connects with PhysLogger, and is compact, lightweight, and hot pluggable.

This device allows measurement of magnetic fields from single or Helmholtz coils, supports dynamic investigation of magnetic field mapping with respect to field angle, can be paired with a V-Probe to explore Faraday’s Law, and is suitable for studying terrestrial magnetic fields.
